The B2B didn’t happen this year. I’ve run the Bridge to Brisbane the last 3
years and I was very much looking forward to running it this year but I got
sick on the eve of the event and wasn’t able to run it. The shame of it is that I had just caught up
to my running goal. By the end of August
I needed to have run 640ks and that is exactly where I was. I’ve run 640ks. Then I got sick. Between the B2B and today I’ve run 6ks. So I am behind again. By the end of this month I need to be at 720ks. I have to start catching up…..today.
The silver lining in all this is that I’ve given my body a
good break. When I hit the road later
today it will be with lots of energy. I
believe this is the longest break I’ve taken all year. So really this could be a very necessary
thing that my body needs right now.
