- This post is a few days in the making -
I've done 3 runs since my last post. I'm really sorry for not writing. Its funny how life gets in the way sometimes. The 3 runs have been good. Today in fact I completed my longest run of the year. I ran 10ks. I took the day off of work and knew today would be the best day for me. The weather is absolutely perfect for running. It was 18c when I started the run. Cool breeze blowing in over the Brisbane river. My goal for my run today was to run the 10ks without stopping. I have not done that yet. Each time I've done a 10k run I have to take a few walking breaks. I felt that I could do it this time. I wanted to run each k around the 6:10 mark. Slow enough for me not to be exhausted and fast enough for me to complete the run in about an hour. I'm proud to report that I in fact completed the 10k run without once stopping. I did hit a wall at about 7.5 but lucky for me the clash come on to rescue me.
I enjoyed todays run so much I can compare it to my other favourite runs. The first run that comes to mind is the run I completed after my fathers death. The second run is when I woke up early in the morning and ran from Perigian Beach to Coolum Beach at Sunrise. This run was up there.
