A 5K run instead

In yesterdays blog I mentioned that I was going to do a one hour and ten minute run today....well that never happened.  I believe in something called "knowing your body" and I was not up to that challenge.  I've pushed it off for a couple of days and have decided to do that Sunday morning instead.  Most of my long runs have happened on the weekend and this way I can give me self a day break in between......which means......I went for a 5K run today.

I wasn't feeling the best today.  My knee was stinging a little bit.  But just a little bit.  Nothing that would stop me from completing my run.  I waited until Portugal dispatched the Czech Republic in European Football Championship and off I went.  The run was OK.  Not my best but far from my worst.  I can tell that I'm not up to where I was last year when I completed my 10K Bridge to Brisbane.  The good news is that I weigh less today then I did at last years 10K run.  In total I've lost 5kg (11 lbs) since starting this blog.  I'm 3kg's away from goal running weight for this years 15K run.  When I say that I want to lose an additional 3kgs for my run this year that is not my ideal weight.  I recently checked a height to weight ratio which means from today I have to lose 13kgs (29lbs) to be around my ideal height to weigh ratio.  I just know I wont be able to lose 13kgs in 2 months. 13kgs is next year at this time goal.  But 3kgs should be pretty easy in 2 months.
