Brisbane to Sydney Opera House (virtual run 45% done)

There are just those days that when you hit the road everything feels right and you run one of the best runs ever.  Today was one of those days.  I had a good stressful day at work.  Things went wonderfully well and terribly horrible.  The perfect day really.  I couldn't wait to get my run in.  I decided to just do a quick and dirty 5k run.  I was hoping for a sub 30 minute 5ks.  What I wasn't expecting was to set a new PB of 28:00 for my 5ks.  20 seconds or so faster then my previous PB.  So I am a pretty happy dude today.

I'm still way behind my goal but that's OK today.  Today everything is roses.  I'm going to just have to make up the kilometres and that is just what I plan on doing this week.  Watch this space.  Also a quick shout out to Bajarmusica who has taken over the lead in the slowmanrunning group with 70.94ks in the last few weeks.  Keep it up.  We are gunning for you.

  2. I need to ramp up my running program since there is only 7 games left of the season. At the beginning of the year I wanted to be able to run 25 km`s per hour currently at 24.3 km per hour. So I have been training hard so that I can hit the goal. Currently I am working on the micoach program Football 6, this level is really working my quads and hamstrings which is going to give me that speed burst when it counts!
