My run last week was interesting. I had a stressful day at work and was very much looking for my run. The first thing I forgot was to turn on the GPS on my phone. I ran 1k without it being recorded. Oh well. I stopped the run and started it again and this time made sure my GPS was on. I tried something interesting. As my running path is shared with lots and lots of people on bikes I decided to use these bikers as a training guide. I waited for someone on a bike to pass me and I ran hard until someone on a bike passed me again and I would slow down until another bike passed me which made me run hard again. I had some spells where my hard run would last a few minutes but the reverse was also true. I'll have to try that again on a run soon.
My run today was OK. I felt really tired for some reason. I struggled at the end. This was disappointing. I was hoping for a much stronger run. But the good news is that I completed the run without stopping. My fitness continues to improve.
I'm going to fall short this month of my goal...but not far off. I needed to run 160ks but I'm going to finish about 8ks short. I'll have to make up those K's next month. I'm looking forward to increasing my distance as I go.
