Apparently I’m not very smart. For whatever reason I thought January only
had 30 days. It has 31 days. I was able to do a 6k run yesterday which
means I brought up my monthly total to 100 kilometres. Which means I am about 10% done my quest (9.90%
to be exact). My goal was to do at least
80ks per month and I’m ahead of schedule.
Hopefully that will come in handy if there are any unforeseen injuries
along the way. I was icing my right heel
yesterday to ward off any heel spur issues.
I’m stretching well before and after each run. Let’s hope that is enough to keep my injury
free.
The Run itself was good.
I had about an hour to from end of work to when I had to pick up my
wife. I decided to see how far the
running path goes. I wasn’t sure exactly
what was in store for me. I didn’t know
if there was going to be hills or if any of the path had gotten washed out due
to the recent floods. Everything turned
out fine and from my starting spot to the end of the path was 3ks. I turned around and completed the 6k
run. It was also the longest run I have
done in my Nike Free shoes. So far,
completely pain free (other than your typical post run soreness).
Looking forward to the next month and hopefully getting
fitter and stronger.
